Orange and Lavender Oat Shampoo Bar

Our Orange and Lavender shampoo bar is formulated for oily hair types. This shampoo bar has fresh ground oats and is infused with real lavender buds. Its gentle and mild but effective for removing heavy oil from the scalp. This is formulated with Lard and coconut oil, castor oil, and olive oil. It has a touch of Lavender and Orange essential oils which really add a refreshing scent to the bar.

This bar should last quite a while depending on how often you wash your hair. Around 60 washes give or take.

PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE YOU PURCHASE

If you've never used a cold process shampoo bar before some things to take note of. This is not like our surfactant-based Syndet shampoo bars or like one you would buy at the store. This isn't going to strip your hair, but it will wash it gently. You may notice it will feel very different then regular shampoo and that's because its technically a soap.

We strongly recommend doing an apple cider vinegar rinse after using this to wash your hair. To do that is very simple. You can put it in a spray bottle or a large cup to pour over your scalp. We use a 1:4 or 1:5 ratio of apple cider vinegar to water mixture. Personally, we prefer the pour over method. You just take this in your shower with you and wash your hair with shampoo bar, then rinse really well and pour the apple cider vinegar mixture over your head starting at the scalp. Make sure to not get any in your eyes. Then rinse well until washed out. Try to work it through the hair all the way starting at the scalp then working it down to the ends. 

You are not required to do the ACV rinse but be advised there may be a heavy waxy feeling left. The ACV acidic mixture helps balance the ph levels back to normal on the scalp and wash away any soapy residue. If you use the ACV rinse, there is no need for a conditioner but you can still use one. 

We recommend keeping this on a self-draining soap rest to allow the bar to dry out completely in between each use this will help the bar last long.
